Obama Fascism

The merging of government and business is not socialism, but rather fascism.  Rather than calling Obama a socialist, we should see him more in the light of Adolph Hitler.  Here is proof:

American Rich…

I read an interesting article by Bill Frezza, titled, What Do We Do if the Rich Start to Leave?

The numbers are small. A modern record, to be sure, and an embarrassment to some. But nothing to be alarmed about. Better to just curse their greed, slap an exit tax on their assets, and move on. There are plenty more where they came from. But what if more of them start to leave?

500 American citizens and green card holders in the last quarter of 2009 said goodbye to America forever. Not many, but double the number of expatriations in all of 2008. Good riddance, other millionaires will take their place.

But what if more of them start to leave?

Financial Reform

We taxpayers will probably be on the hook for the financial distress of some U.S. state, like California.  Yesterday, the U.S. Senate rejected an amendment to financial-regulation legislation aimed at preventing taxpayer bailouts of state and local governments that have defaulted or are at risk of defaulting on debt.   Senator Judd Gregg’s proposal, which would have barred use of federal funds to purchase or guarantee debt or extend lines of credit to governments facing default, failed to win the 60 votes required for adoption.

“They shouldn’t expect the federal government to come in and take them out of their distress,” Senator Judd Gregg said before the vote. “There should be nothing that’s too big to fail in this country, including state governments,”.  This is a license for those irresponsible states to just keep on spending.

Taxes and David Wu

I have an idea for Obama to increase tax receipts in 2010.  He should lower the minimum age that a person can begin to withdraw money from their 401K or IRA accounts.  The current age is 59.5 and if he lowered that age to say 52 or 55 he would increase tax receipts to the U.S. Treasury.  Here is my thought process.  Typically people begin to withdraw from their IRA when they retire and the withdrawn funds are treated as “income”.  When people retire they typically are not earning the kind of money they earned during their peak earning years (age 50-55), so withdrawing from the IRA “post” retirement, the tax impact is small.  By allowing people to withdraw at an earlier age, those funds would be subject to a higher tax rate because person is typically earning more income.

Of couse, Obama will not go for this because the smart people would totally cash in their IRA, pay the taxes and buy gold.  No, he wants the money tied up in the banking system so he can regulate it.  So much for liberty and freedom Mr. Wu.

Greece Bailout

You might be thinking that the financial situation in Greece doesn’t impact you  me.  Think again, the U.S. Federal Reserve has the ability to make loans to foreign central banks (Greece) without disclosure to the U.S. public. European banks have already benefited $50 billion from the U.S.’s bailouts of AIG, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the Federal Reserve will intervene due to euro-zone countries being key U.S. trading partners.  So Mr. Wu, are you giving our tax-payer money to Greece to fund their irresponsible spending?

Oregon Primary

I just received my ballot in the mail and voted based on principle.  The Constitution and enforcing it was the only thing I considered.  The governor’s race didn’t have a lot of clear-cut choices, so I voted for the candidate who promised limited government.  Chris Dudley got my vote.  For the senate seat, it was pretty easy, Jim Huffman stands for liberty and the constitution.  For the right to challenge David Wu, I voted for John Kuzmanich.  Even though he does not appear to be the slickest candidate, he has principles and is on the right side of the issues.  Good luck gentlemen.  Or should I say, good luck to the United States of America.  Watch out Mr. Wu.

Quote of the Year

with one comment

This quote came from the Czech Republic. Some remember the history they lived.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails them. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
