Obama and the Stock Market

with 3 comments

pinicooThe stock market just loves Obama.  Let’s take a look at how the markets have reacted to the President.  In September 2008 (just prior to the election) the Dow Jones Industrial Average was a little over 11,000.   If you recall, September 2008 was 6 weeks prior to the election and that is when Obama widened his gap in the polls.  It is also when Wall Street took note that Obama was probably going to win.  It also coincides when the market started to tank.  11,000 to 6,800 under Obamas leadership.

The spin doctors on the left will tell you that it was President Bush who is responsible.  Actually, if blame needs to doled out, it is Congress who is responsible for the 40% decline.  Congress and the confidence that the stock markets have in Obama and his policies.

It’s obvious he doesn’t care about our money and his words ring true:   “I don’t care about the stock markets”.

  1. You are only looking at the DJIA. Take a look at the S&P. He just doesn’t get it.

  2. Now the Obama administration is talking about the stimulus package having more legs. I understand that the money supply in the last 4 months has increased 3 fold. What is this going to do to the inflation rate? Will we see a return to the Carter Days? It will probably be worse. I suggest that you buy some gold (not much), but enough to protect yourself.

  3. I like your picture. If I were you, I’d change the image to a picture of a pair of britches that are on fire. Obama, lier, lier, pants on fire….
