Stimulus Farce

with 5 comments

The recently passed stimulus package is anything but stimulating.  No one has been able to get their hands (eyes) on the bill to know how bad it really is going to be.  This site unseen bill is scheduled to be voted on later this week and is likely to be signed early next week by the President.

Here we are, adding an additional TRILLION dollars to our debt and inflating the economy, while countless economists believe that this plan will fail.  I am a hard working American that will not participate in the so-called take reduction.  This I guess I work too hard and make too much money.  At least I pay taxes.  Many of those who will be getting a check do not pay federal income taxes.  This is nothing but a redistribution of wealth guised as a plan to stimulate the economy.  Next stop socialism.

This bill will pass the House and Senate and it will be signed by the President.  My only hope is that the House Republican band together and unamiously vote against the bill.  Then the failure of the economic recovery can be blamed on Obama.

  1. The stock markets just love Obama don’t they. Let’s see, earlier this week when Obama paraded his clowns before Congress, the markets tanked. Likewise today, the stimulus bill passes and the markets tank. I agree, socialism here we come.

  2. If I were an investor, I’d be buying Gold. We are inflating the money supply to no end. Look out.

  3. The stimulus package is 20% PORK. Why doesn’t Obama take out his black pen and start fulfilling on his promise of going through every bill “line by line”

  4. Now I am hearing the the stimulus package will provide money for homeowners who are in or close to default. What about all of us responsible homeowners who make our payments every month. Why reward those who are not responsible.

  5. The question we should all ask ourselves and to our peers is this: Do you trust Congress and the President to handle how our money is spent, better than yourself?”

I for one, pay my bills and make informed decisions as to how my own money is spent.
