Obama and Mustang Ranch

with 3 comments

Here is a quote I found in my inbox the other day.  It couldn’t be more true for todays world.  “In 1990, the Government seized the Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada [Harry Reid’s backyard] for tax evasion and, as required by lay, tried to run it.  They failed, and  it closed.  Now we are trusting the economy of our country and the banking system to the same nit-wits who couldn’t make money running a whore house and selling whiskey!.”

I hope that we don’t get screwed (no pun intended) with the mortgage bailout.

Rick Santelli’s Tea Party

Mr. Santelli, watch out on your visit to the White House.  What you did this week was fantastic.  You spoke for the majority of taxpayers who have been responsible and are being asked to bailout those who are not.   I shared your viedo clip with my 14 year old daughter and then told her that you were invited to the White House to discuss your position.  What she told me was:  “Are they inviting him back there to make him “take-back” what he said?”  She continued, that if that is what they are doing that the President is censoring him.

I suggested that if Mr. Santelli did not “drink the Kool Aid” from the Obama handlers, that he would subjected to all sorts of  audits and background checks that would be made public about his life.  Beware Mr. Santelli, you do not want the Obama lawyers going through your garbage looking for something that they can take public., like they did with Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.

Government Spending and a 14 year old

housingThis morning my 14 year old daughter asked for her allowance.  As I handed her the money I commented that everyone has their hand out and it seems that I am the only one left in the country that is paying.  I shared with my daughter that the allowance was voluntary while the Obama so-called stimulus package (tax and spend package) was confiscatory.  She looked at me and wanted to know what I meant by that.  Here is what I told her:

That our family is considered rich and that we will not directly benefit from the stimulus package and that those who do benefit are benefiting at our expense.  That we, (our family) is being made to pay money to the government so that they can give it to someone else.  Obama and the democratic Congress are rewarding bad behavior, those who do not manage their affairs and money in a prudent manner.  Confiscatory is like stealing, only when the government steals, (confiscates our money) they are not punished, but rather rewarded with more “votes” in the next election.

She said:  “Dad, if this is really going to happen, what is the incentive for us trying to get ahead and better ourselves?”  With that comment, I knew that every dollars spent on her private school education was worth it.

Stimulus Farce

The recently passed stimulus package is anything but stimulating.  No one has been able to get their hands (eyes) on the bill to know how bad it really is going to be.  This site unseen bill is scheduled to be voted on later this week and is likely to be signed early next week by the President.

Here we are, adding an additional TRILLION dollars to our debt and inflating the economy, while countless economists believe that this plan will fail.  I am a hard working American that will not participate in the so-called take reduction.  This I guess I work too hard and make too much money.  At least I pay taxes.  Many of those who will be getting a check do not pay federal income taxes.  This is nothing but a redistribution of wealth guised as a plan to stimulate the economy.  Next stop socialism.

This bill will pass the House and Senate and it will be signed by the President.  My only hope is that the House Republican band together and unamiously vote against the bill.  Then the failure of the economic recovery can be blamed on Obama.
